In early 2021 GPS Retail were tasked with designing a permanent fit out for GHD located in an Elysium salon.
The objective was to transform an existing Loreal space into a GHD shop-in-shop. After a site measure, we GPS proposed a conceptual design following the global guidelines set by GHD.
The design consisted of redressing an existing cabinetry unit and adding custom shelving and a header. Two gondola units were added to help transform the space into a ‘GHD zone’. An additional custom, double-sided free standing shelving unit with light boxes and TVs was placed facing the window to allow for easy street viewing. The materials aligned with global specifications and included a matt black laminate, brushed gold laminate and illuminated fabric frames.
The fit out was designed in house and locally produced. GPS Retail also installed the units to allow for an ease transformation of the salon. The project had a great return on investment, both regarding raising brand awareness and increasing the number of GHD products sold. The exceptional quality proved effective with both the customer and salon proud of the executional and extremely satisfied with the result and their experience with GPS Retail.
